Bring back email customization

The new update to the email creation is very limiting to say the least. We can only select a handful of templates but no longer have the ability to edit/add new modules (aside from copying an already existing module in the current template only). The previous version allowed to us to create from a blank template and add modules/components as needed. There is no longer an equivalent – only a plain text version. This is a major step backwards and could force us to move away from Zeffy for any communication needs.

I agree with the comments in this thread. I am not getting consistent or good results as I did with the previous version.
The older editor had some challenges, but it offered greater flexibility and better control over design than the current one. Two weeks ago, I could still use it for some drafts. I thought the new editor just looked different and was a matter of getting used to it, but it seems like a downgrade.
The main issue I’ve been experiencing is font inconsistency. I created two emails using the same font and size in the editor, and they appear similar while editing. However, when I send test emails, the font is different. One of them looks like a completely different font. So far, my experience with the new editor has not been so smooth. It took too long just to find something that looked okay and consistent across the board for the font.
In addition to this, I’ve been running into several limitations with the new editor compared to the previous version:
• I can’t easily move or duplicate blocks (for example, buttons need to be recreated instead of copied or dragged)
• Hex color codes are no longer visible, which makes it harder to keep designs consistent
• Column layouts seem restricted to equal widths only
• Global content width settings appear to be unavailable
I think the old editor was surprisingly good for what it could do. There were some issues, so I can see why the team tried to simplify it and go with a different one. I don't know how many organizations use Zeffy primarily for sending emails to their members. I know that with the two other organizations that I'm part of, we were/are using MailChimp. After trying Zeffy for the last few newsletters, I found it, in some ways, better than MailChimp, so I thought it would make sense to move all communications to Zeffy. I especially liked the global content width setting.

OMG YES!!!
I had
just
created a template for our next event, and the next time I used it, the "new" editor completely ruined it. And then I discovered I couldn't even replicate it in the new editor!PLEASE, I'm
begging you
, return to the previous editor. Or find another one that is both friendly enough for beginners but also flexible enough for experts.

The new version of the email builder just hit our account and it is TERRIBLE!
I duplicated my prior newsletter from two weeks ago and content blocks close when I try to edit the text (which has been auto-re-formatted to an unreadable string of words in some cases, big paragraph space in others, my standard font is gone and I can't choose a point size in some cases, and the images.... hardly any options.
Zeffy support suggested using a prior template. Nope. doesn't work - see attached.
Is this because I'm not starting from a new blank email in the new builder?
I doubt it.
So so frustrated.

Please bring back Email/Newsletter sending with HTML formatting

Hi Zeffy Team,
We used to rely on Zeffy’s built-in email sending feature (with HTML components) to send clean, eye-catching PTA newsletters and event updates. Recently, the email/newsletter builder experience seems to have changed and we can no longer create or send messages in a usable, formatted way.
Why this matters:
PTA communications need to be quick to produce, mobile-friendly, and visually scannable (buttons, sections, headings).
Plain text reduces engagement and increases follow-up questions from families.
The prior HTML component approach helped us send efficient, accessible, consistent newsletters without exporting to another platform.
Request:
Please restore the ability to send emails from Zeffy with a simple newsletter builder (HTML blocks or equivalent).
If there’s a new workflow you recommend, please share it—otherwise, we’d love to see this feature returned or added back to the roadmap.
Thank you!

The updated formatting for emails is terrible!

My emails look so unprofessional since Zeffy changed the way you can format, the padding presets look ridiculous, and I can no longer tailor the emails to fit non-standardized images. I would really like the formatting options to be put back.

Restore the OLD email builder, please! At least make it an option.

The new email builder is much more limited and I can't do as much as before. This is not an improvement for my use. It is clunky, at least as far as editing prior email content.
