At this time, no matter the start time, you can place a bid on an auction. I would like to open only when I set the start date.

I'd also love to see variable end times with each item, as (for our auction) we are needing to close the auction on a few items sooner than the others. I would love to have the option to have a start date - to advertise and build "buzz" then allow everyone to start at the same time fairly.

Agreed - we wanted to be able to allow a preview of the items, even as we slowly added them. Gives people some interest to come back and see what is new, before the bidding actually starts, generating interest and hype.

This ability to have a active, but no bid period is so important to hype the auction and get people excited about bidding. There's an end date/time, there should be a start date/time too. Bid fields about be non-editable until the start date/time. Thank you!

An auction starting automatically as soon as a form is generated is a VERY big drawback to your platform in my mind - and would be to many, I think. Hope you'll add the option to specify a start date and time SOON!
