Add “Lists” Column to Contacts Table
complete

I’d like to request that the contact list be added to the Newsletter > Contacts section. Previously, there was a Tag column that allowed me to see which tag(s) a contact was associated with without having to click into the contact or navigate into a list.
Since tags have now become lists, it would be very helpful to have a Lists column in the contacts table. This would allow users to view at a glance which segment or list each contact belongs to, improving workflow efficiency and reducing the need for extra clicks.

We’re excited to share that we’ve added a new column to the Contacts page displaying which list each contact belongs to. When you go to Newsletter > Contacts, you’ll now be able to see at a glance which list each contact is part of.
Additionally, if you open a specific contact’s details, you’ll also be able to view the lists they belong to.
Thank you again for your feedback and patience. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team – we’re always happy to help!

Thank you for working on this!
As of 9/12/25, it appears that Manual Lists have been added back to the Newsletter > Contacts table however, there are still some things that could improve the usability:
- You can't search by a Manual List - this would be helpful when confirming that I'm only sending an email to Volunteers. Instead I ended up doing a side by side comparison with my entire list of contacts from the Contacts table in the Email with the Newsletter > Contacts table.
- Manual Lists don't appear in an export of the contacts. My attempt at trying to easily filter out non-Volunteers. ;-)

Adam: Ella from Zeffy here – thank you so much for your feedback!
- Regarding point 1, you should be able to filter or search your contacts by manual list when sending an email. While selecting your contacts in an email, all your lists will be displayed, and you can choose the list to which you’d like to send your email.
If you’d like more advanced filtering, you can click on “Select contacts manually” below your list filters. From there, you can apply the filter “Manual List” is or is not to include or exclude contacts from a specific manual list. This same filter is also available under Newsletter > Contacts, allowing you to filter your contacts by manual lists and combine this with other filters if needed (see screenshot below).
- Regarding point 2, I’ve added your email as a voter to an existing request for the inclusion of lists in contact exports. You can view and follow the request here: https://simplyk.canny.io/feature-requests/p/include-lists-in-contact-exports-include-les-listes-dans-les-exports-de-contact

Yes! Please!

The removal of the tagging function in Zeffy has significantly hindered business operations. While lists are functional, their effectiveness is limited without the ability to assign tags to individual contacts, which is essential for building and managing targeted lists efficiently. We strongly recommend restoring the tagging feature.

Merged in a post:
Tags, Lists

A contact's profile should show the "lists" or "tags" they are a part of without having to go outside of the profile view. Please add that.

Bring back tags. Lists don't work for me as I don't email from here. I use tags to manage my contacts and filter by tags. Miss tags immensely!

Steve I just noticed this and second what you said. I've created a new post to call it out. https://simplyk.canny.io/feature-requests/p/tags-appear-to-be-gone

Also make it an option to add a contact to an existing or new list from their profile like we used to be able to do with Tags

This would be great to fix!
