Allow manual entry of ticket sales after event has closed

Ticket sales close for online sales as they should. But often take sales at the door and want to record those the next day. Either override the closed event in manual entry would be good.

Thank you all for the feedback. We're happy to confirm that this functionality is available in Zeffy.
Closing an event now only prevents attendees from purchasing tickets online. As an administrator, you can continue adding manual ticket sales at any time, including after the event has ended.
This makes it easy to record offline sales, late registrations, or attendance updates without having to reopen your event.

Yes, agreed that this would be very helpful. It is very common to have a few clean up tasks/ situations right after the event.

I agree, this is crucial to our operations.
My organization offers dinner theatre plays, and we have to be able to close sales in time to alert our vendor of the meal selections. However, we try to take late reservations whenever possible and would like to be able to manually sell their tickets without opening sales back up to the public.
Right now our only options for this are to process the payment as a "donation" through a separate, non-time-gated "donate to us!" campaign, or to process the card separately through our financial vendor and to pay the processing fees. Either way, the customer doesn't appear on the correct attendance and mailing lists as an attendee, impacting our record-keeping and marketing efforts.
This is probably the #1 most-needed feature for our operations.

This is critical for running an event efficiently. It was very difficult and risky to have to reactivate the form after the signup deadline had passed. Difficult because we have to choose a date in the near future to "close" ticket sales and then rush to enter the purchase manually. Risky because then someone else might sign up while the event was reopened temporarily.
Additionally! It is not possible to reopen an event once the event has passed so it is literally impossible for me to add a signup now that the event has passed. I will try to change the event date and then change it back

Yes! Not being able to do this makes actual accounting of events have to take place in a spreadsheet outside of Zeffy - and more subject to errors and such. Please add this feature.

Dealing with this now. We reserved a few tables on the back end, but now need to add in names manually. It'd be great to not have to open up the event and risk unauthorized sales.

Yes, I agree. We had a valentine's banquet that we sold tickets for and then received additional donations during the event that we wanted to include as extra donations connected to the event but since the ticket sales were over we couldn't enter the extra donations after the event.

In favor of having the option to add manual entries, whether its donations for a tax receipt or tickets when the event is passed.

Agreed. Right now, it's too cumbersome to reopen the past event in order to add the manual entry.

Agree. We had an event and some people came to the door with cash, but we were not able to input manually at the time. Want to add after the fact but are unable.
