It would be better for silent auctions if the notification that they bid is no longer the highest came via tex message instead of email. Most attendees to an event that has a silent auction are not checking their emails, but text messages will pop up immediatly.

I agree...getting text notifications is so important. Many people (including myself) will not see an email notification during the event.

Agree-- when they have been outbid and also when 1) the auction is about to close 2) after the auction has closed, provide information on where winners can pick up their items.

I wish I could vote for this a thousand times. Text message notifications—alerting someone when they’ve been outbid, reminding them that the auction will be closing in “5 minutes,” and delivering other critical updates—would make a huge impact. These timely notifications would greatly improve our ability to communicate effectively with bidders and, ultimately, maximize the success of our auction.

I would love to see a text notification for auction items. Our event is in person and text would be much more effective in letting bidders know when they have been outbid or if you have won the auction.
