Merged in a post:
Charts export for income and donor trends
C
Cameron
Exporting graphs to show fundraising trends over multiple years, months, quarters, and/ or income type. Each of the following would be helpful to look at in isolation over one specified timeframe and in a comparison graph showing the same time period repeated (multiple quarters, multiple fiscal years).
- % of money raised via new donors
- income from donations vs event revenue
- compare one time and recurring donations
- report on number of recurring (automated monthly) donors
- compare cash, check, online donations (sum of each, % of overall, trends of donation type based on donor age, location, occupation)
Being able to cross section reporting based on donation and donor data would be helpful long term. Short-term, being able to pull simple visual reports (graphs, charts) with purely financial trends would be a great place to start.
Board members often look for this information, and staff time goes to converting excel export data into visual data.

Hi Cameron! Thanks so much for sharing this! We are working on a first version of a reporting tool that should be available in the coming weeks. I am going to merge your request to another open one that we have.

Agreed. I just finished a P2P walk-a-thon event and I can't find any reporting. Even a summary of how many teams, participants, money etc.

Hi all! Thanks so much for your votes! Can you provide some more details on what you are looking for? Would this be more options in pulling reports and exporting or something different?

Rowan from Zeffy: I would like to be able to export a report per contact. So, if they call and ask for a printout or email of all their donations. I would also like to be able to sort, export and print volunteers. We create an event and then I can not print a schedule or who volunteered for what position, etc.

Rowan from Zeffy: When thinking of reports, it's really good to think of the questions we are trying to answer. Typical questions for us are: who are our active members? Which people have donated the most? Who hasn't donated so far this year, or in the past 12 months.

Rowan from Zeffy: One of the most important things would ne an ability to configure the report to your needs and having the same options for ticketing, donations, volunteering, etc.
- Ability to sort and filter which sales to include based on additional info, such as filtering based on the answer to customized questions
- Ability to pull in specific info from the form in such as which columns to pull in
- Ability to adjust the ordering of the columns
- Ability to adjust the width of a column prior to exporting
- Ability to combine multiple columns into one (e.g. Where you ask the same questions on different forms, currently there's one column per form, so it would be great to be able to combine those columns into a single column)
- Ability to pull in info from the visitors screen or the contacts screen to combine it with sales/donation/volunteering info.

Rowan from Zeffy: It would be incredibly helpful to our organization to be able to export a formatted ticket sales report sorted by last name. At our events, it has proven too time consuming to check in each guest online with the scan codes (if they even have them ready). A printed ticketholder list- with large, readable type- would allow us to expedite check-in and see how many people have not yet arrived at a glance.
Even the option to view or report on who has and has not yet checked in (with headcount totals) would be very helpful. Most of our volunteers are not proficient in Excel to view and manipulate the current export, and it is time consuming when we need a quick "start or hold curtain" decision from front-of-house.
