Tap to Pay contacts would be extremely helpful for our organization! We are not able to use Tap to Pay at all without them.

I concur. I just realized this. Even if you continue to only collect the email address of the buyer you can still create a contact. And link the payment if the email address belongs to an existing contact.

Our organization would very much like to be able to link tap-to-pay transactions with existing contacts in Zeffy. Being able to so so even if they use different email addresses would be especially helpful (it's surprising how many people use multiple email addresses!) but even if just being able to link same-email ones would be an improvement!

It would be very helpful if Tap to Pay could create a contact. AND if Tap to Pay payment could be added to a contact retroactively.
